RenTeens is a Youth Advisory Council who every year, for
the past four years, has selected and executed a project of their choice
pertaining to Renton History. Previous projects
includes podcasts, blogs,
and exhibits.
RenTeens meet every other week to work on their selected project and to learn about what’s going on at the Museum. They provide insight into how Museum staff and volunteers can better connect with the Renton area’s young people.
Not only is this a fun
way for students to meet other students from different schools, it looks good
on college resumes. Additionally, it provides great leadership opportunities and fulfills community service hours.
Interested teens should contact Public Engagement Coordinator Kim Owens by email for more information about the program.
