Deputy Chief Jon Schuldt grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from the University of Washington. He was hired by the Renton Police Department in November of 1995. In 1999 he was appointed to the K-9 Unit and was partnered with K-9 Scout where they proudly served the Citizens of Renton until Scout’s retirement in 2006. Deputy Chief Schuldt was then promoted to Sergeant and assigned to Patrol. In 2011 he was reassigned as supervisor of the Department’s Special Enforcement Team until his promotion to Commander in 2014. In that capacity he was assigned to North Sector Patrol. Then in January of 2018 he was promoted to his current position of Deputy Chief. He has a lovely wife of 20 years and two beautiful daughters.

Deputy Chief Kevin Keyes began his law enforcement career with the City of Kirkland Police in 1996. He lateraled to the City of Renton Police in 2000. He has held positions as a Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, School Resource Officer, Narcotics Investigator, and Major Crime Investigator. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2012, where he supervised Patrol and Traffic. He was promoted to Commander in 2015 and managed Patrol Operations. He was promoted to Deputy Chief in 2018 and oversees the Field Operations branch of the Police Department.

He has over 20 years of experience, training and education through Washington State University, the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC), The Washington State Patrol (WSP), The Seattle Police Department (SPD), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the California Narcotics Officers Association (CNOA), the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC), and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). 

Commander David Leibman is currently in charge of the Renton Police Department Investigations Division. He started his law enforcement career in 1987 as a reserve police officer for the City of Medina. He was hired in Renton in 1989. Before promoting to Sergeant in 2002 he served as a Field Training Officer, federal task force member and as an instructor in several different areas. As a sergeant he served in the Patrol Operations and Investigations Divisions before promoting to Commander in 2007. Since that time he was been in charge of the Patrol Operations Division, Administrative Service Division and just recently returned to Investigations. 

Commander Leibman became a hostage negotiator in 1994, was promoted to the Renton hostage negotiator team leader in 2001 and has been the commander in charge of the Valley Hostage Negotiation Team since mid-2017. He served as the Commander in Charge of the Valley Investigation Team (VIT) from 2013 to 2015 and is currently a VIT co-Commander. He has served as the Department’s public information officer since 2015.

Commander Chad Karlewicz started with the Renton Police Department in January of 1991. He was promoted to Sergeant in July of 1997 and to Commandeer in January of 2008. He has worked in all divisions in the department and has held the following positions; Patrol Officer, SWAT Officer, SWAT Team Leader, SWAT Commander, Narcotics Task Force Detective, Traffic Sergeant, Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Administrative Services Sergeant, Special Operations Commander, Patrol Commander and Patrol Services Commander. He is currently assigned to the Special Operations Division and oversees the department’s SWAT team and our uniformed and undercover Pro-Act teams.

Commander Tracy Wilkinson joined the Renton Police Department in 1994. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2004 and to Commander in 2013. He has worked in a number of divisions in the department to include: Patrol as an Officer, Patrol Sergeant and Patrol Commander, Field Training Officer (FTO), Bike Patrol Officer, SWAT as a SWAT Officer, SWAT Sergeant/Team Leader and SWAT Commander, Special Operations Sergeant and Special Operations Commander, and Investigations Sergeant. He currently oversees the north sector of the City in Patrol Operations. 

Commander Jeff Eddy began his law enforcement career with the University of Washington Police Department in January 1991. He was hired by Renton in October of 1996. While at Renton he was assigned primarily to patrol with a 4 year rotation on bicycle patrol. In November of 2004 he was assigned to the Criminal Justice Training Commission as a TAC (Teach Advise Council) Officer where he taught criminal procedures. In 2009 he received the top instructor award. While assigned to the academy he was certified as a Field Training Officer (FTO) instructor. He’s instructed the week long Field Training Officer class throughout the State of Washington.  He has also taught defensive tactics, verbal judo, OC spray and Taser application. 

In January 2010 his assignment at the academy ended and he returned to Patrol in Renton. In July of 2011 he was promoted to Sergeant and spent most of his time supervising a graveyard patrol shift. In April of 2016 he was promoted to Commander and was assigned as the Investigations Division Commander. Currently, he is overseeing the Administration Services Division as their Commander. 

Commander Dan Figaro was hired as a police officer in 1994 and came to Renton in 1996. He has held the positions of Task Force Officer (FBI), Field Training Officer, EVOC instructor, SWAT team member, and detective. He was promoted to the position of Sergeant in 2008 where he worked in both the patrol and investigations divisions. Since being promoted to Commander in 2016, Dan has worked in police employee background investigations, policy development, professional standards, special operations, SWAT, and now Patrol Services where he oversees the Traffic unit and Special Events. 

Dan has a degree in Public Policy/Administration from Western Washington University and is a 2015 graduate of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Leadership in Police Organizations (LPO) curriculum based on the West Point Leadership Model.

Commander Jeff Hardin was born and raised in the greater Renton area. He was hired by the City of Renton in 1996 and has spent the past 22 years assigned to the Department’s Patrol Operations Division. During that time he has served the community in a variety of roles to include being a generalist K9 Handler, a Field Training Officer and a Patrol Sergeant. He was promoted to Commander in 2018 and currently oversees the south sector of the Patrol Operations Division.

Records Manger Stephanie Cour has been with the Renton Police Department since April 2006. She began as a part-time Police Service Specialist hired to process cases in the newly launched online reporting system. In April 2009 she became a full-time Specialist and later was selected as a Field Training Officer for the Division. In July 2013, she was promoted to Staff Services Division Supervisor followed by promotion to Staff Services Division Manager in August 2016. Manager Cour has a Master’s of Public Administration (MPA) from Seattle University and is a Certified Public Records Officer (CPRO).
