Valley Police Agencies (Renton, Auburn, Des Moines, Federal Way, Kent, Tukwila, and Port of Seattle) have partnered to host their first Diversity in Law Enforcement: Career Workshop on Nov. 5, 2022, in Renton.
The goal of this workshop is to help potential police officer applicants navigate the hiring process and increase the diversity of our applicant pool and workforce.
This FREE workshop aims to address the real and perceived barriers of those seeking a career in law enforcement and provide strategies to successfully navigate the hiring process.
Those who have an interest in serving the South King County community as a police officer and want to learn more about the hiring process are encouraged to register for this FREE workshop by Oct. 28, 2022.
We are committed to recruiting participants who reflect the diversity of South King County, such as people who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, women, bilingual individuals, and those with no prior law enforcement experience.
