Mission

The City of Renton Tax and License Division strives to provide accurate, efficient and responsive services to the business community, taxpayers and city government to ensure a fair, equitable, and safe business environment in the city. FILE ONLINE (www.filelocal-wa.gov)

The Tax & License Division is open for in person services Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are also available by phone or email. All filings, renewals and license registration applications can be completed online at www.filelocal-wa.gov.

B&O Tax Rate Change Beginning Jan. 1, 2023

New Tax Rate for 2023 Revenue and After

Those subject to B&O tax will see an increase beginning in 2023. There is no change to the annual taxable revenue threshold of $500K. More information can be found at rentonwa.gov/botax.

For revenue generated in 2022 and before, the old tax rates will be used.
For revenue generated in 2023 and after, the new tax rates will be used.
