Chamber hosts Thanks-Giving food drive

A community holiday effort we missed in last week’s Byte was the Renton Chamber of Commerce month-long Thanks-Giving food drive. The drive asks for a different food item each day. Items need to be brought to the chamber office (625 S. 4th St.) and they will be distributed to Renton-area meal programs.

Vote now for your favorite Red Ribbon Week posters

Red Ribbon Week

Help pick the best posters in Renton Police Department’s Red Ribbon Week poster contest. The posters were made in October by 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in Renton School District. Red Ribbon Week is an ideal way for communities to unite and take a visible stand against drugs. Please vote for one poster per grade level. Judging should be based on the quality of artwork, originality, creativity, neatness and if the class incorporated the “Send a Message. Stay Drug Free” theme into their poster. Voting closes on Nov. 29.
